What stands out

The Grand Ballroom is the largest hotel banquet room in Casa Grande, and the resort has its own guest rooms, restaurants and lawns, so the whole weekend can happen in one place. The history is real. Horace Stoneham of the San Francisco Giants built it as a spring training base, the Angels trained here in the early 1980s, and the pool is still shaped like a baseball bat and ball.

What to watch for

The capacity figures do not agree. The resort says the Grand Ballroom holds up to 400, while its Wedding Spot listing caps a wedding at 250 with 123 outdoors for the ceremony. The same meeting page prints a 32,000 square foot ballroom alongside a claim of under 10,000 square feet of total event space, which cannot both be true. Get room dimensions and a seated count in writing. The catering and bar rules also come from Wedding Spot rather than the resort, so confirm those directly.

What couples report

This is the only venue in Casa Grande with resort scale, and it has no wedding review record at all. It is absent from The Knot, WeddingWire and Zola, so everything published about it comes from hotel guests, golfers and diners. Tripadvisor sits at about 3.7 across roughly 157 reviews and GolfPass at about 3.5 across roughly 1,644. Both describe a property people like for its staff and its value but find visibly tired. Read those numbers as a hotel rating, not a wedding rating.
